The inception of The Meghraj Nagarik Sahakari Bank started in January 1975. The Board of Directors of the Bank includes very prominent businessman, social workers and leading citizens. The Meghraj Nagarik Sahakari Bank was setup Initially 351 Members. Many other renowned people bought the shares after this and hence, a resonable fund was gathered for the startup of the bank. Thus, the bank was formed on April 26th 1975. The bank had its first ever General Meeting on 20th September 1975. At the time of meeting, the total bank share was Rs.1,30,760/- which included board members. The prime goal of the bank was to help small businessmen, servicemen and other needy people who wanted to excel financially and hence to develop the town of Meghraj.
